New Gear

We are really lucky to have supportive parents who fundraised enough money to buy new technology to support our learning. We now have mac book airs and ipads!

There will be a lot of buddy work being done so that we all get a chance to learn using the technology.

Room 6 buddies

We had Room 6 visit our class. They are the newest five year olds in our school.

We are learning geometry and so are they so we thought we could help them learn their basic shapes.

Room 13

Funky Hat Day

Friday was our Funky Hat day. We had to decorate our hats and parade around the court to ,"her comes the sun."

A big thanks to Gail who organised this and help get across the message about being safe in the sun.

Congratulations to Jack, our Room 13 winner. Well done.

Room 1!

Talofa! I'm Jennifer and my sister is Tes. She is in room 1 with her classmates Tali, Maya, Kailia and Casidy. Their teacher's name is Donna. I predict that Donna is very nice to those kids. Tes has been to Grey Lynn School for only 2 years. Of course I don't really know how long the other kids have been in this school. In these pictures you can see that my sister is really tall.  She says that she is the tallest in her class,of course, if I were in her class I would be the tallest and its not going to be her anymore! YAY! I hoped you enjoyed reading this blog about room 1. Aren't they cute?

Change of the plant outside our Room

This plant has changed. It has grown and then it dies and then another plant grew.
Every day that plant grew and grew.  Nearly every day our teacher would tip her coffee into the plant pot and still it grew and grew.
I don't know what the plant is called but the only thing is that the plant is been outside room 13 and room12 for almost a year. So I think the coffee is the secret to why the plant changed and grew back.

How to Eat a Lolly

Room 13 has started learning about procedural writing and we did this Immersion exercise to learn all about it.
