My new kitten.

Last Thursday, me, mum and dad went to the Papatoetoe vet to get a kitten. Mum said that we were going to take it home on Saturday, but we took it home on Thursday instead. The kitten is called Minty. She is six weeks old. Minty and her sister were found down the side of a bank. Zoe, our dog is scared of Minty. Minty is an awesome kitten.

Painting Santa on the beach

Today room 13 painted Santa on the beach. We used water colours. I started doing the umbrella's, then Santa and then the background. At first I was scared I would make a mistake but I didn't. I saw everyone's and I thought they all looked great! The hardest thing was Santa. I am leaving it to dry and after we are going to mount it onto a nice bit of paper. They are going to look awesome!

Amy's Art

This is my grid art of a 1990's cartoon character. We started about a month ago and we finished a week ago. At first I was really scared I would make a mistake or something but I didn't. I started at her foot and finished at her head.Once I had finished drawing her I had to do chalk on the outline. Then we put black dye spread all over it and let it dry. Then we cut it out and glued it onto a bit of paper and made it pop out.

These are the steps to follow:

1. Fold a bit of paper into a grid

2. Fold a picture into the same kind of grid as the bit of paper

3.Draw the same thing on the bit of paper as the picture and do the outline in chalk

4.Put the dye on the picture and let it dry

You now have now finished your grid art!

In Our Beat

On the 20th and 21st of October 2010 lots of different schools came to Auckland Girls Grammar for the In Our Beat festival.I went there to be part of the choir. There were not just choirs there were dancers, bands, a rock band, Ukelele and recorders. In the choir we sang Ma te mahi ka ora, Choo Choo Ch Boogie,Fa' afetai, Sweet Barefooted Dreamers, Nature, Beat it, Bad and Jai ho.My favourite song was Nature because it's about nature and I like nature! I thought everyone had a go and did there best!
