Andrea, our teacher, gives us a card with four random numbers on it. We are allowed to use all the maths signs +,-,x,/ and only allowed to use each number once. The total has to be 24.
There are three levels of difficulty. We used the 2nd level. Here is what we did.

ReplyDeleteWe have not played that game but it sounds like fun and would be a good way to learn your basic facts. Our teacher Mrs R remembers a card game called 24 that she played at school in the late 1980's, they even had interschool competitions with the cards. Is your whole class doing it? You could have a competition to see who the champion is.
