Emotion Poems

WALT write emotion poems. We wrote two examples in our writing groups and then did our own in our books.

Let us know what you think and if the poem made you feel the emotion we were trying to convey.

Happiness

Happiness is yellow like a sunflower.
It tastes like chocolate icing on a banana cake.
It looks like a rain shower of gumballs.
It sounds like unending laughter.
It feels like victory.

Sadness

Sadness is grey like a rainy day.
It tastes like cement drying down your throat.
It smells old and damp.
It looks like a dying bird on a street.
It sounds like a lonely echo in a dark cave.
It feels like no one cares.
