Evie and Ila's Matariki Project

Me and Ila have been working on a Matariki project for a
week.
Our whole class has been doing a Matariki  project.
We had to change our idea at least five times.
We searched our question on Kid Rex. Our question was, "Why is Matariki the Maori New Year?" and found out out the answer.
We decided to do a slide show using google slides.
Our finished project was looking really good !!!

Bring Back the Monkeybars #BBMB

Most children bring a yummy lunch and a new bag to the first day of school. Ila and Jaya brought that, and more. They came to school armed to change the world...well, at least Grey Lynn Park. Over the summer they started a campaign and brought all their petitions, signs and badges to school o start the #BBMB movement.

Jaya and Ila started a petition to bring back the monkey bars at Grey Lynn Park. They shared their idea at the first school assembly.

Please watch the video below, and if you can help, sign their petition and support them.

This goes to prove that it doesn't matter how small you are, speak out about a good cause and your voice is LOUD!!!!

The War In Syria

Easy Blog Photo
In SYria there is a big war. Lots of people had to leave. New Zealand is letting in 200 people and Greece is also helping. I think that the war should be stopped so the people can stay home. I feel sad for the Syrian people. By Ila
