Meet my friend Zylah, Lucian, Red,(the cool guy) Jonty, Cherry,Hollie,Elizabeth,(likes hanging out with boys)Ethan. My name is really Geoffrey  I am a bit of a funny person. My desk is a bit of a mess. Om our trip to Tiritiri Matangi we saw lots of birds. I am doing a blog right now in my Daily 5 reading time.

IPads

Ipads are technology that are able to do stuff that know aver thing can do. You can play games,search for things on Safari! And most of all they are expensive because they are made with lots of things that are very valuable ! Ipads are fun,they are some times very annoying when you are stuck?  That's when we have to go onto another activity and wait until we can get help. This is when we show resilience using technology.

New Gear

We are really lucky to have supportive parents who fundraised enough money to buy new technology to support our learning. We now have mac book airs and ipads!

There will be a lot of buddy work being done so that we all get a chance to learn using the technology.

New ipads and laptops on PhotoPeach

No time for Show and Tell? Use an iPad !

Phoenix brought in something very unique to share with the class. We ran out of time so James and Phoenix worked together and used the iPad to record the show and tell story.

First Phoenix wrote down what he wanted to share. James helped him with the writing process.

Then James used the iPad to record Phoenix reading his script.
They also took pictures using the iPad to share the unique show and tell.
They also made a comic strip using the Comic APP.

Finally Andrea imported their footage and made an iMovie.

James and Phoenix's next step is to make their own iMovie.

Phoenix was busy Friday discovering how he can use the ipads to support his learning in Maths.

Phoenix recommended the APP, Rocket Maths.





Felipe is working hard at improving his English. His first language is Portuguese. He recommends he APP iTouchiLearn Words.

The Big Bad Bully

Elijah, Gwyneth and Oceania decided to make a comic about relationships being powerful. They decided to use the idea of bullying to show this.

They used the iPad 2 to take photos using the APP Comic Strip and also added text to their photos.  It was then downloaded into iphoto and then imported into iMovie. Then they used a storyboard to plan their text. Then Elijah and Oceania added music and transitions to their movie.

This is the students' work, 100%. They worked well and are now the class experts and will teach the other students.
